As a final close to a wonderful painting/sketching trip through the Concord Art Association, I close with "Views from the Train" I sketched with ink and watercolor as our whole group took the train from Badesse to Firenze. The entire Tuscan trip was enriching, varied and I am certainly hopeful it was educational and a growing experience for all my painting students.

Decisions decisions, decisions.... planning the pencil and ink pens to bring on trip...this is good for this, but that is better for that! Soft, dark. Hard graphite, light....Ebony? Derwent? White? Sepia for sketches......
