EMILY PASSMAN

NEWS

Check out early spring classes and workshops.

I fulfilled a dream I’ve had for a long time. Setting up my easel in the desert –  taking it all in, and expressing it on canvas.

It was HOT-I was always trying to get my umbrella to follow me, but it felt great. I did this one in Palm Springs at “Desert Palisades” and another canvas in Joshua Tree National Park. You can see Palm Springs in the distance. A flat city with very low buildings, in the Coachella Valley. The mid-century architecture seems to respect the view of the mountains for everyone. A very friendly city.

We are heading home on February 28th. On our return trip we’ll drive south and through New Orleans. I’ve never been there.

It’s been a great two months here in Palm Springs. I taught three classes online so I stayed connected to artists and always find inspiration from teaching. I am planning my springs classes. Make sure to check out the “TEACHING” tab here on my site.

I am ready to get home to my studio to prepare for Lexington Open Studios, taking place April 11 and 12. I will be showing at my barn/studio at 198 East Street, Lexington 02420.

One of my teaching venues is NAC, the Newton Art Center. I will be participating in Newton Open Studios, May 30 and 31. Hope to see you there!

I'm especially looking forward to painting and teaching in beautiful Venice, Italy in October, 2026. Check out the website of Il Chiostro to see all they offer, including my workshop, Venice Sketches: Quick Brush, Bold Colors. ONE SPOT LEFT!

I am pleased to be the featured artist for the month of April at Galaray House.  It is an innovative and dynamic art gallery in the heart of Lexington, Massachusetts. Within the gallery is a modern espresso bar.

Please join me for Galaray House's First Friday, April 3, 6pm-8pm, for free wine tasting, snacks, and more!

And, for those who missed it, here is an interview I did for the online resource, "Bold Journey." It was a great opportunity to talk about my art journey. Enjoy. Meet Emily Passman
